Cato Versluis | Chief Simulation & Control
As an Applied Mathematics graduate from TU Delft with a strong interest in the energy transition, I am excited to join Forze Hydrogen Racing Team 19 as Chief Simulation & Control. This role allows me to combine my analytical background with a passion for hands-on engineering, contributing to the optimization and reliability of the Forze IX.
In this position, I focus on enhancing the performance and robustness of our hydrogen-electric race car by developing simulation models and refining its control systems. My goal is to maximize on-track performance while ensuring long-term dependability. By working closely with engineers from various disciplines, I help ensure that our solutions are both mathematically sound and race-ready.
What I find most rewarding about this role is the opportunity to translate mathematical theory into real engineering impact on the racetrack. Together with a dedicated and passionate team, I strive to demonstrate that hydrogen technology can deliver high-performance solutions in one of the most demanding environments. At the same time, I see this as a chance to further develop my management skills and prepare for broader responsibilities in shaping the future of sustainable transportation.
