Jules Bodegom|Aerodynamics Engineer
After graduating the Bachelor of Aerospace Engineering from TU Delft, I am excited to have the role of Aerodynamics Engineer at Forze Hydrogen Racing team 18. During my studies I developed a passion for innovation, sustainability and engineering, particularly in the automotive sector. I was looking forward to applying my knowledge to the real world, developing myself and in the meantime helping towards a cleaner, more sustainable future.
In my position as Aerodynamics Engineer, I am responsible for the aerodynamics and bodywork of our hydrogen-electric race car. My role ranges from aerodynamic analysis and design using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), to the mechanical design, production and integration of the bodywork. Collaborating with different departments to reach the desired goals in cooling, drag and downforce of the Forze IX.
I find it very rewarding to combine my passion for motorsport aerodynamics, engineering and innovation to work on a ground-breaking project. All while working with a team full of highly motivated and skilled individuals. It gives a lot of satisfaction to work with this team on the shared goal of driving a race car on hydrogen. Together, we aim to advance hydrogen technology to push the boundaries.
