Thijs den Bouw|Chief Embedded Systems
Before joining Forze Hydrogen Racing, I pursued a BSc Applied Physics at TU Delft. The program provided me with a strong foundation in various engineering principles, also sparking my interest in both electronics and software. This combination of disciplines, particularly in the development of applying these technologies, fascinated me. To further explore these interests, I chose a minor in Embedded Systems. This interest led me to join Forze Hydrogen Racing as Chief Embedded Systems,
where I contribute to the development of an embedded system built from scratch with our newest hydrogen-powered race car. In this role, I am constantly combining my interests in hardware and software to integrate this complex system.
As Chief Embedded Systems, I am involved with tackling the technical challenges of integrating such a complex system, while managing a team of 10 engineers. My role includes setting deadlines, checking technical quality, overseeing personal development, and acting as the first person of contact for the department. By balancing these responsibilities, I have gained invaluable experience, developing both my technical expertise and leadership skills.
